African American skins are different from others. They face more problems as compared to the rest skin types. They suffer with a lot of melanin pigment that often makes you look darker. Irregular pigmentation is caused due to the inflammation. It can be helped with bleaching. Many people take laser treatments as well, but that has a lot of side effects. Such treatments are expensive and you must take good care of your self with them.

Here are some tips for the African American skin bleaching as discussed on the Oprah Show:

* The first step is to learn about the kind of products that may help you. For this you must consult your dermatologist once.

* African American skin bleaching is different from others. This skin loses elasticity easily that leads to fat globs and stretch marks. You must try products that have Emu oil.

* Before selecting any bleaching products, read its ingredients carefully and make sure that you do not use it if you are allergic to any of them. Do not use any skin care items that do not state their ingredients in detail.

* Always do a patch test first.

* In case you have any redness, irritation or mosquito bites, therefore don’t bleach that area until the problem is sorted out.

* It can be done with a great care, else it may result in a grayish complexion.

* Avoid the products that have steroids. That can harm you a lot in the long run. It causes permanent redness, blood vessel streaks, etc.

* You must also avoid the products that have mercury. It is a slow poison for the body.

* You must use creams that have tretinoin. If you do that for many months ay a stretch, you can cure the irregular pigmentation.

* You must apply sun screen lotions regularly.

* Regularly apply natural skin whitening creams like Meladerm.

It’s common to find young Asian women trying to defy the natural yellowish-tone of their by smoothing on whitening lotions or creams that comes bottled-up with whitening agents. Fairness and a healthy glow is what most women vie for. Asians have more melanin in their skin, so they tend to look, not darker, but more yellow than other races. The shade of yellow can range from very light to tan.

Generally speaking, it’s easier for Asians to maintain their skin because of their diet and their skin and we all know that Asians don’t age as quickly as Westerners. It’s easier, in short, for them to look years younger than they really are. With good skincare regime, a healthy diet and exercise, an Asian woman can look more than eight to ten years younger than her real age….without too much effort.

The biggest enemy to young Asian skin is the sun. Women from countries with consistently hot weather all-year-round will need to be extra careful about the stuff that they use, using sun screen whenever they head out and regularly maintain a good routine before bed time. Even good skin can be damaged by the sun if proper care is not observed. Moisturizer applied in the morning, before heading out to work, will keep skin moisturized during the day. Not only will the sun dry out the skin, the air-conditioning system have a huge role to play as well.

Dark patches of skin are direct results of sun damage – the sun is your best friend on the beach but it’s too easy to forget that it’s a fiend to the skin. It makes scrubbing your skin clean at night an impossibly necessary part of your life – but not scrubbing too hard. Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin religiously if your line of work requires you to be out under the sun a lot.

Once or twice a week, you’ll need a gentle exfoliating lotion, cream or powder to scrub the dead skin cells off. Do NOT exfoliate too often because it will dry out the skin and cause extra production of oil and sebum which clogs pores.

And let’s not forget food for our skin. Keeping away from oily food is a good idea, but more importantly, we should consume more fruits and vegetables (a great source of Vitamin A and C) if we want jaw-dropping skin. Vitamin A gives you skin with head-turning glow while Vitamin C promotes production of collagen which enhances elasticity of your skin.
