Healthy and beautiful skin is an essential part of our overall well- being. However, since every product available in the market spells dollars and depleting financial resources, I compiled some effective natural aids for your skin that will not force you to shell out cash.

The beauty of this is that you can have your own beauty products from the stuff you can find in your kitchen, fridge and garden.

Here are some of those:

Apple juice makes an excellent remedy for fine wrinkles, cracked skin, itching and inflammation and dandruff. Use as a final rinse after shampooing your hair.

Apricots The fresh juice of apricots is good for sunburn, itching and eczema.

Avocado can be used as effective facial mask.

Banana can be made into an effective and inexpensive facial mask. Cucumber is good for treating skin eruptions and bulges and for whitening skin. It can also prevent pimples, wrinkles, blackheads and dryness of the face.

Guava boiled leaves can be used as natural antiseptic

Lime Juice is a very important natural aid for beautiful skin. This treatment will help you look young and beautiful. It will also help cure pimples.

It is also known to help in controlling oily skin, improve a dull and greasy complexion, improve rough and dry skin, relieve tired eyes and remove freckles

Mango leaves can be boiled and be used as antiseptic.

Orange juice paste can be an effective remedy for pimples and acne. It can also be used for scar and blemish removal.

Papaya orange and green papaya are used to remove whiteheads, boils and spots. It also the papain enzyme that is effective in skin whitening.

Peach The skin of peach is said to be useful in improving complexion. It can also be made into an anti-wrinkle.

Pineapple are good skin softeners which cleanse and rejuvenate dull and dry skin, especially for classic rough skin spots like knees, elbows, and heels.

Pomegranate The paste of roasted and powdered pomegranate skin is good in treating boils, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.

Strawberry Strawberry can be used for conditioning and skin toning treatment. They are rich in salicylic acid, an ingredient found in many commercial acne creams and thus are the best treatment for troubled or teenage skin.

Cucumber Lotion

Best as skin whitener, cucumber lotion is applied on the face and neck. Let it stand for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

You Need:

1 tablespoon of cucumber juice

1 tablespoon of milk

a few drops of rosewater

Procedure:

Crush one piece of peeled cucumber to get a tablespoon of juice. Then, mix the cucumber juice with 1 tablespoon of milk. Add a few drops of rosewater. Mix until the ingredients blend together.

Tomato Lotion

This lotion will tighten big pores. Gently massage on the face, then wash off after 15 minutes.

You Need:

1 tablespoon of tomato juice

a few drops of lime juice

Procedure:

Crush one tomato to extract 1 tablespoon of juice. Add a few drops of lime juice. Mix the ingredients well.

Cabbage Mask

This will prevent wrinkles and make your skin supple and fresh-looking. Pat over the face and neck. After 15 minutes, remove with wet cotton wool.

You Need:

cabbage leaves

1 teaspoon honey

¼ teaspoon yeast

Procedure:

Extract cabbage juice by grinding the leaves. Then, add the cabbage juice to the mixture of 1 teaspoon honey and dissolved ¼ teaspoon of yeast. Mix the ingredients well.

Peach Mask

Works to tighten pores, peach mask should be gently applied on the face. After 30 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

You Need:

1 ripe peach

1 egg white

The peach must be first peeled and pitted. Then, drop it into a blender with the egg white. Process the ingredients until smooth.

Honey Facial

This facial refreshes the face and leaves it radiant-looking. Best to leave on the face for 15 minutes before rinsing off.

You Need:

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 egg yoke

Procedure:

Beat the egg yoke, then add olive oil. As soon as the two ingredients blend well, pour the honey. Stir the ingredients thoroughly.

Lime Juice Facial

This mixture works well in preventing pimples. Best to apply every night, lime juice facial leaves the skin young and beautiful. It can also work to soften hands and feet.

You Need:

one lime

a glass of whole milk

1 teaspoon of glycerin

Procedure:

Boil the milk, then add lime extract and 1 teaspoon of glycerin. Mix the ingredients well. Leave the mixture for 30 minutes, then apply on the face.

Apple Tonic

Works for oily skin, apple tonic must be patted over the face and neck. Let it sit for 20 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.

You Need:

1 tablespoon apple juice

¼ teaspoon lime juice

Chop an apple and grind to extract 1 tablespoon of juice. Then, mix the apple juice with ¼ teaspoon of lime juice. Stir until the ingredients blend together.

Note: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients mentioned above, please discontinue use. Remember, these homemade skin care treatments are meant to improve your skin, not the opposite.

Lime Juice

Add some lime juice to a glass of boiled whole milk with a teaspoon of glycerin and stir well. This mixture should be applied every night before going to bed for a fresh, healthy and young Looking skin. It also prevents the build-up of acne.

Skin of Peach

Use the inside of the peach skin to gently massage the face every night before sleeping. It cleanses the skin and frees the pores allowing the skin to breathe easier. It also has astringent properties, which help to tighten the muscle of the face thus preventing sagging.

Anti-wrinkle cream

A natural anti wrinkle cream can be made through a mixture of egg with a teaspoon of oil. Massage it lightly on the face and neck and let it remain till skin is dry. Dip a cotton pad in hot water mixed with soda-bicarbonate to remove the cream from the face.

Beauty Mask

You can make your own beauty mask with all natural ingredients to enhance the youth and beauty of your face if used regularly.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of gram flour


1/4 teaspoon orange peel powder


1 tablespoon beaten yogurt


1 teaspoon olive oil

Mix the ingredients well and apply the paste to your face and neck. Let it remain till the skin starts feeling dry and then rub your face till it glows. Wash your face first with warm water and then cold water. This will remove all the blemishes from the skin to make it look soft and smooth.

Natural cleansing lotion

cleanses and purifies the pores of the skin. Mix one teaspoon each of milk and cucumber juice with a quarter teaspoon of lime juice, stir well and apply to face and neck. Wash off after fifteen minutes and the result will be a naturally healthy and glowing skin.

Watermelon, Tanjerine and Orange Juice Treatment

Citrus Fruits containing essential vitamin C are extremely good for a glowing complexion. A simple remedy is to apply freshly squeezed tangerine or orange juice liberally over your entire face and forehead. For treating acne, you could use the paste made from powdered sun-dried pips of unripe oranges at bedtime. Similarly, the juice of watermelon is also useful in removing blemishes on the skin.

Orange and Carrot Tonics

Mix two tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon each of carrot and orange juice to a ground paste of blanched and dried almonds and apply all over face and neck. Leave on for half an hour before washing off. It helps to removes scars and blemishes from the face, prevents acne and makes it soft and smooth.

Tomatoes

The pulp of a tomato applied liberally on the face helps to attain a clear and good complexion. The application of one tablespoon of tomato juice and few drops of lime juice to your face is very effective for shrinking enlarged pores. To remove excessive sunburns use two teaspoons of tomato juice and four tablespoons of buttermilk.

Cucumber

Apply a grated cucumber over the eyes and face and leave for 20 minutes. It is a great tonic for the facial skin. Regular use of cucumber prevents pimples, blackheads, wrinkles, and dryness of the face. A cucumber lotion of one tablespoon of cucumber juice and milk with a few drops of rose water is an excellent whitening agent for the skin and leaves your skin glowing.

Apple tonic

Apple makes an excellent tonic to fight the rigors of oily skin. Mix one tablespoon of apple juice with one-fourth teaspoon of lime juice, apply on face and leave on for 20 minutes before washing off. It is guaranteed to give you healthy glowing skin, free of acne.

Amarnath Juice Treatment

The juice of amaranth, applied over the face with a pinch of turmeric powder, bleaches the skin, prevents it from drying and wrinkling, cures pimples and makes one look fresh. If added to milk and lime.
