Bleaching the underarms in order to whiten the armpit is quite commonly done. The armpit stains are generally caused by aluminum salts that are resultant of the various anti aspirants & deodorants. These stains are most visible in white clothes and during the summer.

Here are some ways to bleach the underarms safely:

· Conduct a patch test before applying the bleach.
· Prefer using natural bleach lotions & creams in stead of the chemical ones.
· In case the product has hydroquinone, it should not be more than 2%.
· Make sure that you follow the instructions of using the product very carefully.
· If you feel any redness, irritation or itching stop the bleaching process there and then.
· Never use warm water with the bleaches.
· In case the area is bruised or you have acne or other skin problems, do not do bleaching.
