Now that daylight savings time is here, we can all breathe a sigh of relief that spring is on its way. As we say farewell to our coats and boots and welcome t-shirts and sandals, we should also take time to examine our skin. Winter takes a toll on your skin and spring is a great time to do damage control – especially since people will see more of your skin in those warm weather clothes!
According to Dr. Rene Martin Earles, a dermatologist in Chicago, “Winter weather decreases the circulation and perspiration of the skin. The skin’s naturally shedding outer layer does not turn over in cold weather as fast as in warm weather. This results in a decrease of suppleness in the skin; it is drier and it feels more rough.”
Fortunately, there are several easy ways to get rid of the telltale signs of winter on your skin before spring is in full swing…here’s some good advice:
- Exfoliate to remove dry skin cells that clog your pores. A simple mask made from cooled instant oatmeal can be applied for ten minutes to slough the surface of your complexion without stripping it.
- Use a light moisturizer on your face that is suitable for your particular skin type. As spring approaches, you perspire more and heavy moisturizers tend to clog your pores.
- Moisturize your entire body. A good trick is to liberally apply white petroleum jelly on your hands and feet, put on gloves and socks and go to bed. When you wake up, you’re skin will be noticeably softer.
- Avoid tanning salons that strip your skin of essential moisture and damage it with harmful rays.
- Be cautious when first gardening outdoors. The sun is stronger and your skin is still sensitive from winter damage, making it even more susceptible to sunburn. Apply a sunscreen to protect your skin whenever you go outside.
- Wear gloves when doing outdoor work to protect the delicate skin on your hands.
- Drink six to eight glasses of water every day to hydrate your skin from the inside out.
- Try soaking your hands and feet for about fifteen minutes in a solution made from two parts milk to one part honey – it really works!
With a little extra attention applying the advice above, you will have smooth, attractive skin and be ready to face spring.

A high quality skin whitening cream should always be nearby, just to be sure that you’ll have it when you need it. It may take some time to find the perfect one, so you should never wait until it gets urgent. Buying any skin care product on short notice is never a good idea. Nobody needs to get a rash or any type of problem from a skin product while trying to solve their initial difficulty.
From the many skin whitening creams that any store can offer, some of them will have serious negative effects on your skin. Chemicals will always set off reactions and you need to make sure that they will be positive on you. How can you figure out which skin whitening cream is good for you?
While some substances are only used because they have results on a few individuals and are very easy to obtain, others are exactly what you need for a perfect skin. Studies have shown that a handful of natural ingredients can really change your skin forever, without any nasty side effects.
A natural skin whitening cream should be able to nourish your body and modify the levels of melanin. This will offer you a lighter skin color and better skin condition overall. Some of the best natural ingredients on the market are: extrapone nutgrass, Cynergy TK, Homeo Age and Phytessence Wakame.
Unlike chemicals, these ingredients won’t have any side effects that might damage the skin. As long as the skin whitening cream contains at least one of them, it should provide some long term benefits if used daily. The vitamins which are used can reverse the visible part of the aging process and make it regenerate cells. Meanwhile, the color of your skill will also be modified.
Brands are not important, ingredients make all the difference. Skin whitening cream has been researched long enough to be sure that certain substances have a positive effect, while others can do the opposite.
In conclusion, you can easily find the right skin whitening cream if you take a closer look at each product. If everything goes according to plan, you will get the result that you want and, as a bonus, healthier skin.

Of course you’re interested in how to improve skin complexion. Who doesn’t want to have a beautiful fair skin complexion? Maybe you’ve struggled with acne or some other skin problems that has left you with blemishes or uneven skin tone. Perhaps you’d like to have a more fair complexion by gently lightening your skin.
In this article I’ll show you how to get a better skin complexion with the application of topical creams. By the time you’re done reading you’ll know exactly what you should be looking for in a skin care product that will improve your skin complexion.
Let’s get started.
Treating blemishes and uneven skin tone
If you’re plagued by blemishes or uneven skin tone from, for example, acne breakouts, you may need to use a gentle skin lightening product to even out the color. Stay away from “skin bleaching” products that contain harsh chemicals, especially when you’re treating your face. We’ll look more at these specific products in the next section.
Also important for improving skin complexion is to use a cream that helps your skin to renew itself. Anything that stimulates the skin to produce new cells can help to reduce blemishes.
Natural oils and emollients like avocado oil and shea butter also provide a lot of benefits to the skin. Shea butter in particular is known to contribute to the healing of scar tissue and blemishes, and also helps in treating sun damaged skin.
Powerful antioxidants like CoenzymeQ10, when used in a nano-formulation as part of a skin cream, can also help to repair damaged cells, while stimulating cell growth at the same time.
How to improve skin complexion by lightening skin color
If you have a dark complexion, you may feel the need to lighten it. We already touched on skin lightening above, so let’s look at exactly what safe and natural ingredients you can use here to achieve a more fair skin complexion.
Extrapone Nutgrass Root is an ingredient used in certain lightening creams. The good thing about it is that it is not only extremely effective at inhibiting the skin pigment called melanin, but it is also very gentle on the skin as it was originally developed as an anti-irritant.
Melanin, in case you didn’t know, is the pigment that determines skin color. The more melanin you have, the darker your skin.
You can use a lightening cream either on dark spots to even out skin tone, or you can use it to lighten your skin complexion in general.
In addition to the above, always make sure you follow a healthy lifestyle and diet to improve complexion. If you consume only junk food and soft drinks and never exercise, any skin care product will have a hard time having a positive effect as it will be fighting the damage you are doing to your body as well.
